Having a passion and love of the art from a very early age, Mr. Tantalo drew inspiration from the great masters of portraiture from the early Renaissance Period to the present. The impact of the works of such legendary portrait artists such as Sir Thomas Gainsborough and Sargent would greatly influence his style.

In 1993, and at the early age of twenty three, Mr. Tantalo opened the doors to his first studio.

By 1997, the "Tantalo Look" was quickly catching the attention of some of the most discerning families throughout the greater Rochester area. As word of Mr. Tantalo continued to spread, so did the reach of his clientele. Clients began to travel not only throughout Western New York and Southern Ontario, but also flew in from out of state to have their portrait created by him.

Today, the demand for Mr. Tantalo's museum quality portraiture is higher than ever. The average Tantalo client travels more than one hundred miles to have their portraits created. The studio remains booked-up weeks to months in advance.
